What to Order at Guelaguetza: Date Night Edition

October 13, 2026Guelaguetza

Some nights call for slowing down, sharing plates, and letting the table fill up between you. If you're bringing someone special to Guelaguetza, here's how we'd order.

Start with a Margarita Flight

Three margaritas, one for each of you to taste and one to argue over. It's the best way to begin a night with a toast.

Share the Quesillo Fundido

Melted Oaxacan quesillo bubbling in a cast-iron skillet, with warm tortillas and guacamole on the side. Tear, scoop, repeat. There's no polite way to eat it, and that's the point.

Taste the Festival de Moles

If one of you has never had mole, this is the moment. A spread of our family's moles with chips for dipping, so you can find your favorite together. Fair warning: you'll each pick a different one.

Split the Tlayuda Guelaguetza

Our signature tlayuda, crisp and wide enough for two, topped with tasajo, cecina, and chorizo. It's the dish we're known for, and it's made for sharing.

End with the Chocoflan

Chocolate cake and silky flan in one slice. Order one and two spoons.

Come hungry. We can't wait to host you.
